Enzymatic Therapy Mega-Zyme Pancreatin
Why take enzymes?
Enzymes are well known for their support of healthy digestion:
Enzymes are amazing - they can ease occasional heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, constipation, loose stools and cramping. But, our bodies tend to produce fewer enzymes as we get older. Supplementing can make a big difference.
Enzymes also benefit other body systems, too:
They work with your body to promote clear, healthy skin and relieve occasional muscle pain, fatigue and stiffness associated with exercise and overuse.
Why take Mega-Zyme systemic enzymes?
It helps break down foods with 10 times the strength:
Mega-Zyme is formulated to deliver 10 times more digestive power than the minimum specified by the United States Pharmacopeia. It`s no ordinary enzyme supplement.
It helps digest a variety of foods:
Mega-Zyme`s combination of pancreatic and plant-based enzymes are most similar to your body`s own natural enzymes. They are especially effective for digesting protein, fat, carbohydrates and fiber, and help relieve occasional gas and bloating.
It also supports your body`s natural anti-inflammatory response:
Taken between meals, these enzymes relieve occasional inflammation due to exercise or overuse and support deep immune health.
For digestive relief, take two tablets before each meal. For support of the body`s natural anti-inflammatory response, take two tablets between meals.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the sources of the enzymes in Mega-Zyme? Does the product contain any ingredients of fungal origin?
Mega-Zyme contains several ingredients derived from both animal and plant sources. Pancreatin, the formula`s key ingredient, is obtained from porcine (pigs). Similarly, both lipase and trypsin are derived from pancreas gland of porcine animals. Papain and bromelain, on the other hand, are derived from plant sources. Papain is extracted from papaya, and bromelain from pineapple. The amylase in Mega-zyme is derived from a fungal source: Aspergillus oryzae. The ingredient is highly processed and purified and is subjected to rigorous purity tests to ensure it meets yeast and mold specifications.
Although Mega-Zyme has a long history of successful testing without incidence of high yeast and mold counts, we can not be certain that the product would not cause allergic reactions in individuals who are extremely sensitive to fungi.
On the Mega-Zyme label, what does 10X mean?
The designation X" means "times" – therefore, "10x" means "10 times". The pancreatic enzymes in Mega-Zyme are 10 times more potent that the expected minimum activity. The minimum activity was set by the United States Pharmacopoeia, a scientific body which establishes standards for prescription medications and some dietary supplements.
Should I take Mega-Zyme with meals or between meals?
It depends on your reason for taking Mega-Zyme. Traditionally, Mega-Zyme has been taken meals to enhance digestion of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. However, it can also be taken on an empty stomach to help support the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response.
Why isn’t the Mega-Zyme tablet enteric coated?
Enteric-coating is not necessary as the enzymes are buffered with bicarbonate to protect them from stomach acid.
