Trophic No Flush Niacin. No flush niacin (inositol hexanicotinate) consists of six molecules of niacin (nicotinic acid) chemically bound to an inositol molecule. After absorption, it is broken apart in the body into free niacin and inositol. This process occurs slowly, with peak serum levels not occurring until approximately 10 hours after ingestion.
