WOBENZYM N - MUCOS Pharma

Blister packs of 200 tablets.

Dosage:
Adults: In general: 2 tablets 3 times daily to be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid. In acute cases, the dose may safely be increased to 4 - 6 tablets 3 times daily. It is recommended to take the tablets, either as a single dose or spread throughout the day, about half an hour to one hour before meals.
Note: In chronic conditions, the symptoms may occasionally increase after starting therapy. This is a therapeutic reaction which is beneficial and should not be interpreted as a reason for discontinuing the medication; if necessary, a temporary dosage reduction may be considered.

Composition:
1 tablet cont.: Pancreatin 100 mg (300 protease Ph.Eur.units), Papain 60 mg (164 I.U.), Rutin 50 mg (3H20), Bromelain 45 mg (225 I.U.), Trypsin 24 mg (720 I.U.), Chymotrypsin 1 mg (300 I.U.). (Core: corn starch).

Indications:
Sport injuries, venous diseases, acute and chronic inflammation, rheumatic disorders, lymphedema, prostatitis.

Contraindications:
In severe congenital or acquired coagulation disorders (eg. haemophilia, severe liver damage), dialysis patients, organ transplant patients and allergies to one of the ingredients. The advice of a therapist is recommended before taking if pregnant, lactating, before an operation, diabetic or using anticoagulants.

Side effects:
Generally well tolerated; no harmful side effects have been observed even after prolonged treatment with high doses. Can occasionally cause a harmless change in the consistency, colour and odour of the stools. Allergic reactions are rare and subside on withdrawal of the medication. After taking large single doses, a sensation of fullness, flatulence and occasionally vomiting have been reported. This can be avoided by spreading the dose throughout the day.

Interactions with other medication:
There are no known incompatibilities with other co-administered drugs. Concurrent administration with antibiotics increases the antibiotic concentration at the site of action.
